Conservative Council announces new appointments

Following our success at the polls on 7th May which resulted in the Conservative Group increasing its share of the number of Dartford Borough Council seats to 34, some new appointments have been announced to the Council leadership.


Councillor Chris Shippam, re-elected in Town ward, was appointed Deputy Leader of the Council.  First elected in 2007, Cllr Shippam retain the portfolio responsibility for the Town Centre.


Promoted to the Cabinet is Councillor Keith Kelly.  First elected for Greenhithe in 2011, Cllr Kelly is now responsible for Transport and Infrastructure.
