We hosted Adam Holloway on 12th July at the Malt Shovel pub in Darenth Road. Adam is the MP for Gravesham, our neighbouring constituency.
We have a long friendship with Adam and we were grateful that he could come to Dartford in order to speak to our members.
Adam reflected on an incredibly eventful week in Westminster, with the Cabinet agreeing at Chequers to a negotiating position with the European Union, which prompted the resignations of both the Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union, David Davis, and the Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson. Adam and a number of members engaged in general discussion about where the Conservative Party was in the aftermath of what happened.
Everyone who attended were delighted to hear Adam's forthright opinions on the week's events, which made for a terrific evening.
